AquaTools is a strategic decision-support tool used to assess how to optimize biological and economic benefits in aquaculture production.

The software provides an option to do cost-benefit evaluations and visualize the effects of changes in production biology and production economy.

AquaTools are available for industrial and academic purposes, and offer models within areas such as MTB, health, genetics, harvesting and feed. In addition to gaining access to the software, our users will receive full training beforehand to understand the use of the tool. Spillfree also offer several options within advisory and workshops that suit customers’ needs.

I have worked to quantify losses and mortality in Norwegian aquaculture for 15-20 years and developed tools where losses and untapped potential in biological production can be quantified both in volume and economic significance. Furthermore, I have worked with the effect of measures and thus have models that quantify the benefit of optimization. This has also been further developed into cost-benefit models for assessing utility value. The Norwegian aquaculture industry has grown into a large industry, but where optimization of biological production remains. Efficient utilization of resources managed where you get the most back is important in an optimization phase.
